Temple Muses

The towering stone-layered temple sanctuary enwraps me like an enormous cocoon. Standing before the stone altar, the Muses whisper in my ear: Let the blood run deeply now, Deeply through your veins. Their chants pour forth, rising in vibrant song-chord strands as my body descends into a squat, with heartbeat pounding, to rebirth my wildchild self. I slip into the timeless expanse where sound resides, the juice of her deep red lifeblood singing through me now, returning to comfort and ease aching ancient memories.
